~ adv 1 suitably dressed/prepared/equipped etc wearing the right clothes, having the right information, equipment etc for a particular situation  (We were relieved that Gordon had arrived at the wedding suitably dressed.) 2 suitably impressed/amazed showing the amount of feeling you would expect in a particular situation  (The others were suitably impressed by the huge trout I caught.)
